I’ve an old compaq armada laptop the i got off of my sister its originally windows 98 it was upgraded to Xp Pro Its doesnt have an antivirus program i have tried to use Mcafee AVG and CyberDefender none of them worked with the Pro Service pack Does Anyone Know Of An AntiVirus That I Could Use

probably u r using windows xp (1st edition) or xp service pack1. they’re not compatible with avg 8 or latest versions of other antiviruses. so download the service pack 3 and install it easily with just double click the file.

then try eset nod32 3.0 antivirus or smart security. it is not free but best coz it wont slow down ur pc like avg, mcafee, pccillin, norton.
but if u want free antivirus, try avg 8 free edition but u have to install service pack 3. www.free.grisoft.com

I have always liked Zone Alarm Pro for it's anti spyware & firewall properties. Along with that, I use Spyware Blaster and Spybot Search & Destroy. If you feel that you have an immediate threat, AVG version 8.0 works just fine with my XP Professional Edition. :o) Good luck!
