My Norton Antivirus says the live update is out of date, but everytime I update it, nothing changes, and it says it's still out of date, I don't know how to repair it?

Here’s an EXCELLENT way to rid your computer of the “bugs” in Norton Anti-virus solution:
Follow steps 1 and 2 below:
1) I like this FREE tool that does an EXCELLENT job.
Avast free Home Edition

And please do a “thorough” scan as soon as you finish completeing number 2) below.
The user interface is easy. Click the left side, and in the top menu that comes up, select thorough scan.
When it finds a culprit it throws up an alarm, then you DELETE the culprit, (do not quaranteen).
Then allow it to run all of the time, and you will be completely protected. It will “automatically” update itself, also for free.
You only need to renew your registration once a year, also free.
I've tried them all, and have had wonderful results with this one for the last 5 years.
2) Go to Begin > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs >
scroll down to your Norton product > click REMOVE.
