I’ve a laptop computer and I want to be protected from viruses and spyware. Let me know which software's I should purchase.
Answer:
There is no “best” when it comes to antivirus and spyware software. Personally, I like Avast!, because it works and is free. You can find it at
http://www.avast.com/
For anti-spyware, I recommend a combination of programs. I use two: Lavasoft Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy. Find them here, respectively:

This is a totally free solution, and should work just fine.
Answer:
I would suggest AVG 8 plus Firewall or AVG World wide web Suite. I’ve used their products for several years and have had no attacks or infections. They don't cost much and AVG will update itself everyday unlike some other packages which might only update each few days.
They also do a free AntiVirus only package if you don't want to pay but you get less features with this.
If you want a separate Firewall you can't go far wrong with ZoneAlarm, another free package. This is simple to use and set up and works very well.
I would also suggest installing an AntiSpyware package as well. Lavasoft's Ad-Aware is particularly good and again comes with a free version.
Using all this you should stay safe and sound while on the internet but remember to keep Windows and all your protection software up to date.

Hi
There's no one “best” product, you have to try some and decide on one that works for you.
Norton Antivirus and AntiVir Premium are both excellent choices. Norton is very light and has constant updates (every 5-10 minutes, compared to usually daily updates by other vendors). AntiVir Premium's heuristics is very strong, so the detection is excellent.
I recommend you buy either Superantispyware or Malwarebytes Antimalware to run as real-time protection, and run the program which you didn’t buy as an on-demand scanner. You could also use Spybot Search and Destroy, and remember to turn on the Immunization feature.
You can also use ThreatFire, to provide better protection of zero day threats.
For a firewall, a free product is enough. I suggest Sunbelt Firewall, or Personal computer Tools Firewall. Comodo and Online Armor will conflict with ThreatFire, so I suggest you not use those 2.
Sandboxes provide VERY strong security if used properly, however, you'll have to read a bit about it to comprehend it as it is a new concept. DefenseWall is the ideal on default settings. If you want to tweak a product a lot, you could use Sandboxie. They both provide great protection.
You need an image backup program so you can revert your personal to an earlier say if there's a problem. Acronis True Image is the most popular. A free alternative is Paragon Drive Backup Express.
For browsing, you should use Mozilla Firefox or Opera instead of World wide web Explorer (or Avant, Maxthon, etc or Safari) because Firefox and Opera are much safer and you will be less likely to be infected.
