My Norton Antivirus program expired and I need a new one. Should I uninstall before selecting a new one?

Answer:
If you install a different antivirus, you must uninstall the Norton. Panda Antivirus is the latest generation of antivirus solution. Its innovative technology and ease of use make it the most powerful antivirus on the market. The new Panda Antivirus 2008 is the easiest and most useful protection for yourself, your family, and your Personal computer online.

Answer:
Well a lot of people answering above have totally no idea.

Norton does not hog space any more than other programs.

Buy and install Norton World wide web Security 2008 or Norton 360.

Remove the old Norton with the Norton Removal Tool available from www.symantec.com

The FREE stuff sucks big time and will cause problems. Been there, done that.

Note, McAfee is just as good.

Answer:
The ideal protection is to not install anything on your personal. You dont need a hard drive for your computer to run. If you dont have one you cant get infected. Put in 2 gigs of ram and run a Live Linux Distro such as Knoppix right from your DVD drive. Load the whole kernel to ram and you have a smoking fast machine that isnt apt to get infected and when you shut it off everything is gone.
